Business Diary
It is useful to maintain a contemporaneous diary of notable events in the life of a company.  This documentation may
be called upon in case of an IRS review, legal action testimonies, and event time frame determination.  You may wish
to log auto maintenance, major tool purchases, etc.  Quantrac 2005 includes a function whereby these types of events
may be recorded and reviewed.  To access the diary, click the button on the toolbar
This diary form will appear.    Clicking the Add Entry button will cause the system to create a new entry, using the
current date and time stamp.  Click the employee (if applicable).  Then, enter any text you wish in the large text field.
This field has an unlimited capacity for text.
You may “scroll” up or down through entries by clicking the scroll bar area to the right of the form.
Company Statistics
Quantrac 2005 will provide you with a snapshot of your company with
the ‘Show Statistics’ function.  Click, on the menu bar,
Utilities|Show Statistics.  The system will examine your database
and present the results in this form:
This company has a 3:2 ratio of Jobsites to Customers, indicating that it
has several multi-jobsite customers.  This is usually an indication of an
established company with commercial accounts or residential lease
space work.
Also, notice that the maintenance contract renewal rate is around 85%
with an expired to current ratio of 125:18.
In its Quantrac 2005 history, this company has taken approximately 3
service calls per jobsite, having archived over 9,000 service calls since records were accurately kept using Quantrac
2005.  As your company’s database matures, the value of your company can be quickly and easily documented.
