Frequently Asked Questions

1. Go to Start|Program Files|Quantrac HVAC Office 2011|Quantrac 2011 Database Maintenance
   .
2. If you do not have this installed, then you will need to install it from your setup file. If you can't find your setup file you will need to purchase the download link here: http://www.quantrac.com/store.html#!/~/product/category=2790936&id=12446622. If you do have it installed proceed to Step 4.
3. To install from the setup file you will click on the button "Install Data Utilities " and follow the install instructions.
   
4. Make sure ALL USERS have Quantrac closed on their Stations.
5. Choose the option "Backup Data To Hard Drive" button under Backup & Restore.
   
6. In the Window that appears you will want to choose your the device/drive you want to backup to. In this case we are choosing to backup to a Removable USB drive. Choose " My Computer", and double click on the drive.
7. Always change the default backup name from hvac01.bak to the current date with your company name such as "04-14-14_quantrac.bak"
8. You will be prompted to make sure all user's are logged out of Quantrac asked to continue. Click "Yes". When the backup as completed you will get a message telling you it's complete.
9. You should create a backup of Quantrac at least once a week.
