Workstation Already Logged On

You may get this error if you are running Quantrac on multiple machines. The problem usually is that you have entered the same serial number for more than one computer during setup. To help determine which machines are using the same serial number follow these instructions.

1. On all machines that are running Quantrac and can successfully log in click on Help/About from the top tool bar.

2. Look at the last digit of the serial number under "Additional Information".
3. Every number should be different for every machine (depending how many you are licensed for). If you are licensed for 4 workstations then each serial number will end in 01, 02, 03, 04.
4. Then go to the computer you are having the issue on.
5. Click on Start/Run and type in hvac01.ini (for Windows Vista & Windows 7 the hvac01.ini file is located in the C:\Windows folder)
6. A notepad screen will appear.
7. Where the line reads Serial=(and your serial number) you will want to change the last digit to the missing number.

8. Close the notepad screen, when asked to save changes click Yes.
9. Open Quantrac.

If this does not solve you issue, you will need to open a Support Ticket to receive additional assistance. (you will be required to have a current support contract)
